Following my New York cabaret debut as a special guest at Manhattan's Triad Theatre. I was awarded two prestigious RTN Awards: Outstanding Vocal Performance of 2018 and Best Male Vocalist of 2018.
I have sung worldwide on stage with platinum-selling artists including Josh Groban, Frozen's Idina Menzel, and rock legends Queen's Brian May in venues including London's Royal Albert Hall, China's Great Hall of the People, and the Bukanmara Hall in Tokyo, Japan.
Headlining acts I have featured in include The 12 Tenors, Viva Voce, and Stars of Opera, and The Pinnacle Singers.
I have performed extensively as a soloist, most recently in a residency with classical guitarist Scott Niebauer performing an acoustic set of Adult Contemporary material - our debut album Something Cool is set for release 1st September 2025 and available for preorder now.
I feature on a number of releases including Josh Groban's Greatest Hits, Chess in Concert (2008), and the single Torn Between Two Memories on the Megassus label. Exciting solo releases to look forward to this year include: the debut album Something Cool by Gilo & Royal Blue, a mellow set of acoustic adult contemporary material performed by myself with guitarist Scott Niebauer, at once laid back and deliciously sophisticated. Release date: Sept 1, available to pre-order on all major streaming platforms. 'On This Night' - Featuring a collection of songs from my favorite musicals including Chess, Les Miserables, and Phantom of the Opera, recording my debut solo album has been completed, it is being mixed and mastered for a winter 2025 release. The Pinnacle Singers' reimagining of Puccini's opera TURANDOT recorded live, featuring me on the piano playing my own arrangement. Forthcoming recording sessions will continue work on my solo New Wave album which is planned for release in 2025. Early demo recordings from many of these projects can be found throughout this website.
I offer private tuition in voice to all levels of skill. Through a unique and personalized approach I quickly provide my students demonstrable results and a strong sense of improvement.
I specialize in bringing repertoire to life by exploring the dramatic clues within a text to deliver a performance balancing beauty, power, and truth by developing a student's understanding of a song's topography to successfully take it off the page.

I offer lessons at a private residence in DeLand, Florida. All ages and skill-levels welcome, my rates are $70 p/h.
PRODUCER
Founder of Central Florida's premiere vocal ensemble The Pinnacle Singers, following a series of acclaimed revues I recently produced a reimagining of Puccini's Turandot sung in English and performed in unconventional Central Florida spaces which will be followed in 2025 by a reimagining of Madame Butterfly. My theatrical producing credits include the UK Premieres of sixteen original musicals including Michael Colby's Slay It With Music, David Reiser's Ballets Russes, Rick Williams' Maya and many others; also producing live and studio sound recordings of many of these productions on the Jamendo label. Co-founding The A STAGE KINDLY New Musical Theatre Initiative with Katy Lipson, I produced many UK and World Premieres of new musical theatre and contemporary operas as well as an acclaimed series of new writing revues. We developed new works across the United Kingdom and Europe, creating many unique opportunities to support creatives in their work. Following its London stage debut, I produced the Original Concept Album of SOVIET ZION: an ambitious 2.5 hour contemporary opera I wrote and arranged for a large orchestra, also releasing an accompanying album of bonus material. Discussions are underway to present it in New York.
LYRICS
I am the book-writer and librettist of both Turkish Delight the Opera (a frivolous comic tale of a scorned woman's revenge) and SOVIET ZION (an ambitious contemporary opera about Stalinist national policy whose Original Concept Album is available on leading streaming platforms).
I am currently developing a new musical with book-writer Roberto Trippini set in the walled city of Kowloon.
Collaborating with poet Gittel Schwartz, I was closely involved in the translation into Yiddish of SOVIET ZION.
I have written two spoken-word plays: "When All Is Said And Done" set in the dressing room of a supergroup's final performance, and "Dina and the Naughty Unicorn" about a girl's relationship with her mischeivious imaginary friend.
I am a prolific songwriter of pop songs, my debut New Wave album debuts in 2025 and you can hear demos from this project elsewhere on this site.

WRITER
My first feature-length work as a composer was a rock opera called Turkish Delight the Opera, the strange tale of a scorned woman's revenge. It was staged four times in London and once in Stockholm, Sweden.
My second and most significant work is a contemporary opera called SOVIET ZION about the doomed attempt to create a Jewish homeland in Siberia and the escape of six of its pioneers from the failed state. Following its London debut, a symphonic concept album was released in 2021. Subsequently a translation into Yiddish was made by Mikhl Yashinsky and Motl Didner making SOVIET ZION a historically significant contribution to the Yiddish Theater canon.
I am developing an album of original New Wave pop music, and have recently started writing my third feature-length musical, set in Kowloon, in collaboration with Roberto Trippini which I will contribute to as composer, lyricist, and co-author.
I wrote a new libretto and created an all-new piano arrangement adapting Puccini's grand opera Turandot for chamber forces and am currently revising Madame Butterfly as an English-language chamber opera.
